Secret Sauna Club – Terms & Safety

By booking, you agree to all of the below.

Disclaimer

Using the sauna or cold plunge is entirely at your own risk. If you are unsure whether sauna or cold plunge use is safe for you, please consult your GP before booking.

Sauna bathing may not be suitable if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high/low blood pressure, breathing difficulties, epilepsy, or other health concerns. If in doubt, seek medical advice first.

We can guide and help you, but when entering sauna or cold plunge, YOU are responsible for your own well being, Secret Sauna Club is not.

Safety Rules

  • The sauna is wood-fired and extremely hot – never touch the stove, stove door, chimney, rocks, or guards.

  • Only pour water on the stones as instructed, starting from the furthest point to avoid scalding.

  • Remove jewellery before entering, as metal can become dangerously hot.

  • Alcohol, smoking, and vaping are not permitted in or around the sauna. Intoxicated persons will be refused entry.

  • Enter cold plunge at a rate you can handle. Feel free to push your own boundaries carefully, but be fully aware of the risk of cold shock.

Age Restrictions

  • Children under 10 are not permitted in the sauna.

  • Ages 10–16 may attend with a parent/guardian present at all times (waiver required).

  • Cold plunge/ice bath/cold shower use is strictly 16+.

Sauna Etiquette

  • Enter and exit with care.

  • Remove shoes before entering, wash feet if been swimming.

  • Come with 2 towels, one for sitting on and one for after the sauna.

  • It is recommended that sessions should last no longer than 20 minutes (5–15 minutes are ideal) but please listen to your body.

  • Only swimwear may be worn – nudity is not permitted.

  • Do not use essential oils unless agreed with staff.

  • Keep doorways and exits clear for safety.

  • It is polite to ask all other sauna users before adding water to stones. 

Cold plunge

  • Shower before entering. It helps keep the water fresh for others.

  • Enter fully aware that the body may react strongly.

  • please no blowing of nose in the cold plunge. 

Group Bookings

If you book on behalf of a group, you are responsible for ensuring all participants are aware of and follow these rules.

Right to Refuse Entry

Secret Sauna Club reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone deemed a health or safety risk. Refunds will not be issued in these cases.

Cancellations

  • Sauna sessions: Refunds/reschedules available up to 24 hours before your booking.

  • Private bookings: 50% deposit required, refundable up to 14 days before the booking.

  • No refunds for cancellations within 24 hours (sessions) or 14 days (private).

  • Reschedules offered if official severe weather warnings are issued.
